With craze of porcelain coffee mugs growing and with so much variety available in the market it becomes really hard for a consumer to choose the one which is the best. Here are some tips as to how one should proceed to buy a porcelain coffee mug.
First of all one should decide what kind of mug a person needs according to the requirement and space availability. For example, if someone has a tight spaced kitchen then the person may prefer a compact one; on the contrary a person having ample space may use the one with a wide base because such a mug is least likely to topple.
For traveling purposes mugs made of stainless steel are the best ones because they help preserve the heat for a much longer period of time. Also while selecting a mug one should keep in mind the design considerations like the material of which the mug is made, its size, shape etc. Also one should check it ergonomically whether it is suited to your hand or not. Always check for the durability of the mugs because some mugs get cracked up really soon and so beware of such mugs.
The insulation provided by these mugs should also be taken care off. Nowadays the insulation provided is just excellent thereby retaining the heat for a longer period of time. Even one can go for the personalized porcelain coffee mugs that are on offer from various companies like Westwood Yesteryear that come with advertisement designs and photo. These designs render a classic touch to your daily cuppa! Irresistible it may seem as there are not many companies that can match the quality provided by Westwood Yesteryear.
Pricing of the porcelain coffee mugs depends on aspects like the material that has been used to manufacture them, insulation and the designs. It is also important to check whether the mug is spill proof or not – just to avoid accidents. Above all one should keep in mind the amount he/she can afford to spend on a porcelain coffee mug. Once all the things are clear in your mind you can pick up the best possible deal.

Free Porcelain Coffee Mugs?

Posted by Admin on 16 May 2020 | Filed under: Uncategorized

There is some buzz about websites and retail stores giving out free porcelain coffee mugs in recent months. This is of course primarily to drive traffic to the stores and hopefully convert it to sales.
But, for us consumers, it is really free? There are two things that we need to consider when going for freebies such as this, first is the time spend on looking and getting the item, secondly is the thing or information that we need to give in order to get it.
There are many websites that offers things with no charges but unfortunately, more than 50% are hoax and it is no better than a 10 to 20 percent discount. With so many websites giving out false information, some time would be spend looking for the real information.
On average, you would have to spend between 3-5 hours looking for it and reading the instructions before you can get really get the porcelain coffee mugs without paying any money. Let’s assumed that you are paid $80 per day then that 5 hours of searching is a loss of $50 isn’t that so?
If you have found some simple part time job, you would be richer by $50. But, instead of that, you have got for yourself a mug that is worth probably $9?
Personally, I think that the amount of time spends searching for it and sometimes queueing hours for free stuff are not worth the time investment.
And on top of that, the things like the mugs that you are getting are not really free. Usually, at the very minimum you would have to give your particulars, like your name, address and contact details.
These details are known as leads and depending on the companies that requires this information, it can be sold for as much as $5-10 per lead. So, every time you hand out your particulars, you are inviting advertisements, hoards of it, to be send to you.
So, while you are not giving cash to get the mugs in this case, you are giving them opportunity to use your personal details to at least earn $5-10, maybe more by selling it away as leads.
And with these particulars, they can keep on reselling them as leads, potentially earning many more $5.
Now, let’s just say you spend 5 hours looking for this deal that give you a mug for free and in return you have to give them your personal particulars. Overall, you would lose about $50 in loss man hours and also making them richer by at least $5.
Thinking about it, it is not really worth looking for it and in fact getting it, don’t you agree? You are better off shopping for it in a shopping mall and buying one that you really like.

is there any material known that extreme temperatures will not bleed through?

Posted by Admin on 30 Aug 2010 | Filed under: Uncategorized

For example:
Say you have a metal container with extremely hot liquid inside. If you try to grab it, you’ll feel the heat. And if the same is filled with something frozen, it will perspire on the outside.
The same goes for plastic, glass, Steel, rubber, styrofoam, porcelain, lead, etc.

Also, I’m sure that if you make it thick enough, it may not bleed through, or not so easily, but what about a somewhat thin material, like that of a thermos or a cup?
Does such exist (no alien technology answers please).

Just a question I’ve been thinking about for a while.

I would like to sell a Japanese porcelain coffee set. Can someone help?

Posted by Admin on 29 Aug 2010 | Filed under: Uncategorized

My grandfather gave me a Japanese porcelain coffee set and I’m wanting to sell it but I can’t find out how much it is. I’ve searched countless times but I can’t find the right set. My searches always lead to some other set. Can someone help me?

Underneath each item it says: Tiger Yedi Inc. Fine Porcelain Japan Style.
It’s a 27 piece set, with 12 saucers, 12 cups, one thing that hold the creamer, one that holds the sugar with lid, and then the main coffee pot. The cups and pots have gold on the legs and handles with flower decor which looks to be hand painted on. The plates have flower decor on them as well. Each item also has a royal blue and gold trim design around the edge.

Thanks for your help!

How is the beginning of my story? Please read. I'm only 13.?

I’m 13 and I really love to right. I act older than I am though. So, here is the beginning to my story. How is it? Would you keep reading?

England was busy at midnight, and so was Elizabeth Evens. Her dark brown hair was pulled up but two curls dangled freely. Her bright red lipstick stood out against her porcelain skin. She walked the streets of London with pride. She approached a stone wall, and placed a brown box beside it. Her eyes squinted as she scanned the area. Everyone knew she was up to no good. She looked behind her only to see fog. This pleased her greatly. She ran back to her small apartment. Her heels clicked to announce her arrival. She hurried up the steps and unlocked the door. She ran inside, threw off her leather gloves, and sighed. “Let’s see how he enjoys that.” She said grinning a grin and dusting her hands off. Suddenly, she saw the outline of a man at the end of the hallway. “He enjoyed it very much Miss. Elizabeth.” Spoke the voice. Her eyes grew wide with fear, “What are you, whoever you are, talking about?” The man twirled his cane and chuckled. “A better question is who are you, but I know who you are. I know everything about you Miss. Elizabeth.” Boasted the man. Her mind went blank as she tried to match the voice with a face. “Maybe this will help you.” Said the man. Right as the words escaped his lips a small cup of freshly brewed tea appeared at her feet. “You expect me to drink that?” She said with a laugh. “Yes, actually I do.” He replied. With that, she carefully bent down to pick up the tea. As soon as the hot liquid trickled down her throat, she fell to the floor. “Splendid! That should keep her out of my way for a few hours to find her plans” Said the man with a grin. “Well, I should certainly leave her a nice message for her awakening.” He located a piece of paper and an ink pen.
”Dear Elizabeth, thank you for the nice plans you have left me. –Henry Andersen.
P.s. You can thank me for the free tea later, love.” He left the note in the palm of her hand, and scurried out the door.

Thanks! :D
Oh goodness! I did mispell write! Sorry I’m on my iPod touch so it is difficult to type

What do you think of this …..?

A group of graduates, well established in their careers, were talking at a reunion and decided to go visit their old university professor, now retired. During their visit, the conversation turned to complaints about stress in their work and lives.
Offering his guests hot chocolate, the professor went into the kitchen and returned with a large pot of hot chocolate and an assortment of cups – porcelain, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite – telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate. When they all had a cup of hot chocolate in hand, the professor said: ‘Notice that all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best
for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.
The cup that you’re drinking from adds nothing to the quality of the hot chocolate. In most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was hot chocolate, not the cup; but you consciously
went for the best cups. And then you began eyeing each other’s cups. Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate; your job, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. The cup you have does not define, nor change the quality of life you have.Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the hot chocolate.
The happiest people don’t have the best of everything.
They just make the best of everything that they have.

Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.

Will you read this and tell me what you think please, i'd appreciate it? *its long*?

I waited eagerly for my best friend Becky, to arrive in La Beouf, one of the several cafés that resided in my small hometown, Hermthone.
She won’t be late. I told myself. She never forgets my birthday.
I drummed my fingers idly on the table I sat at, with my head resting in one hand, and my other hand trying to coax a wandering straw to stay in one place, while I attempted to drink my glass of – now warm – lemonade. I really wished I had something better to do other than bob my head up and down every two minutes, to check if she was coming through the window beside me. Unfortunately for me, there wasn’t much else to look at here, accept for the aging, croissant-related wallpaper that plastered the walls.
The café was quiet and empty. The only people in there besides myself were the staff and an old lady, who’s poor arms looked too frail to even hold the teacup she had pressed to her lips. The tangerine coloured clock ticked annoyingly loudly as the mi
nutes passed, and I continued to do more head bobbing and wallpaper staring.
Where IS she. I thought to myself. Perhaps I better g-. My thoughts were interrupted when two of people entered the café. I looked up, hoping that Becky would miraculously be with them; I was beginning to get tired of waiting. My eyes casually wandered over to the girl and boy that stood in front of the café door. They looked about seventeen, my age, and were pretty unusual looking, no-one I had ever seen before. They were carrying rather large backpacks, their clothes cut and torn, their hair wild and uncared for. Hikers. I thought.
My eyes first studied the girl. She was quite possibly the most unusual, yet striking, person I had ever laid eyes on. Her wavy, bright crimson red hair messily cascaded past her sharp, bony shoulders, delicately to her small waist, and was decorated with twigs and leaves. Her porcelain skin was blemish-free, and her face; the face of an angel, was very small, angular and almost pixie-like. Her eyes were sapphire in colour. She wore very loose fitting cargo pants which were very unflattering, and a navy jumper that looked at least 3-sizes too large. Her trainers were muddy and worn, and her navy backpack looked like it would snap her slender frame of roughly five feet, to pieces.
Her companion was quite different. His medium-length dark brown, could-be-mistaken-for-black hair was too, decorated with vegetation, and added mystery to his half-hidden sapphire stare. His medium build physique, towered gloriously over the girl, he was very tall next to her, probably six feet if not more, and his bronze skin shimmered in the florescent lighting. He too, wore ragged clothing; grass stained jeans, old trainers, and a turtleneck jumper with a backpack firmly placed upon his back. Despite his healthy body, his face was gaunt; his cheekbones jutted out alarmingly, as if he had been starving himself for weeks, and had only lost the weight on his face.
He looked ill. The only similarity between the boy and the girl, were their eye colour and emaciated faces.
Before I could conclude his features any longer, he spoke.
“Not here.” the boy said forcefully, his eyes darted about nervously under his mane as he listened to her retort.
“It is perfectly fine here, Nick. Don’t be awkward now, we’ve already told them to meet us here.” the girl spoke with a soft, yet firm voice.
“But that wasn’t a joint decision, now, was it?” he added slyly. The girl sighed,
tossed her crimson hair over her shoulder nonchalantly, and rolled her eyes at his remark. Her hair disturbed the air, sending wafts of a mouth watering fruity scent in my direction. I fought the urge to idiotically wave my hands about in the air, in gesture to try and cup the scent and force it towards my face so I could indulge in it a little longer. I fought that urge with great difficulty. Nice shampoo. I thought.
“Please. Please, Mel?” the boy started to beg, pressing his hands together as if to pray. “Please?”
“Definitely not, Nicholas! Stop moaning, people will start to stare.” she warned him, her eyes gleaming with annoyance.
“Like who? There is a little old lady, and a girl about our age.” he sneered.
“Yes. Those are people, good work.” she agreed sarcastically. “People who will be very irritated if we keep this cabaret up. I don’t think the old lady can quite hear us, but the girl most certainly can.” she sighed, inspecting her already perfect fingernails for imperfections.
At the mention of my presence, I felt the blood rush to my cheeks, and as if that didn’t give away my inquisitiveness enough, my hand twitched and knocked over the ketchup and mustard sachet bowl that lived on the café table, I felt the sapphire eyes burn into my face.
I scrambled down to pick the sachets up, but before I could get there in time, they were already in the palms of other person; a person with bronzed skin. I dared to look up, just peeking through my brunette curls.
The blue pools stared back.

Any tips on stomaching chocolate whey protein powder?

Posted by Admin on 21 Aug 2010 | Filed under: Uncategorized

After months of supplement-free weight training with noticable but dissapointing results, I finally gave in and used my graduation money to buy some creatine and whey protein powder. The creatine tasted okay, but the chocolate-flavored protein mix reminded me of a chunky white medicine I took when I was little, mixed with some of the nastiest, dollar-store-day-after-valentines’s day-chocolate known to man. I tried a scoop with 4 oz of milk like the instructions said and I just couldn’t finish it; it took a lot of will power just to keep it down. Later I tried a scoop with a big cup of water in hopes of diluting the taste, but that just made it worse -as well as gave me more to drink- and I poured more than half of it down the drain. I’ve heard of some people popping it in a blender with bananas, milk, and even peanut butter. I’m not wasting this powder even if I have to eat it with a spoon…but prefferably, I’d like something that won’t have me praying to the porcelain God. Any tips?
